PLAYERS: Michel Platini
CONCACAF President Jeffrey Webb will ask his FIFA executive committee colleagues this week to increase his region's share of influence on the panel, where it has only three of 25 seats. The FIFA vice president for the North, Central America and Caribbean body tells The Associated Press it's a ''disappointment'' that ongoing FIFA reforms have not suggested allocating places more equally among the six continental confederations. Webb says Africa and Asia, which each has a 4-seat quota, also deserve another delegate on the FIFA board. He adds that FIFA could create new places, or redistribute existing allocations. The Cayman Islands banker doesn't directly criticize UEFA, though the European body traditionally holds most power and has eight places. Webb says he hasn't discussed his proposal with UEFA President Michel Platini.
