Sandro Tonali’s day-to-day-life during his 10-month long FIGC suspension consists primarily of three things: training, therapy sessions and home life with his family and loved ones according to recent updates from La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The former Milan midfielder has been ineligible since October 2023, after receiving confirmation of a 10-month long suspension from the FIGC as a result of his involvement in prohibited betting practices.

It was also revealed on Thursday, that Tonali has been charged with misconduct by the FA in England as a result of a reported 50 bets that he placed between August and October 2023, after his €80m transfer from Milan to Newcastle.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Tonali is ‘doing well’, and believes that the worst moments of his recovery are now behind him.

In England, Tonali continues with his recovery, largely consisting of therapy sessions with specialist Prof. Gabriele Sani. He is also training ferociously in anticipation of his return to action at the end of his suspension, on August 27.

Tonali is also supported at home by his nearest and dearest, namely several family members, his partner Giulia and his agent Giuseppe Riso of GR Sports.

La Gazzetta report that Tonali knows he still has plenty of work to do before recovering from his addictions, but write that he is ‘counting down the days’ until his St James’ Park return.
