France international Raphael Varane has confirmed his departure from Manchester United at the end of his contract in June, which means Juventus‘ Gleison Bremer will become an even more significant target for the Red Devils.

Varane will leave Manchester United this coming June after three years with the Red Devils. The France international confirmed his decision with a statement on the Red Devils’ official website.

It is no secret that Juventus’ defender Bremer is one of Manchester United’s primary targets to replace Varane in 2024-25.

What Varane’s Man Utd exit means for Juventus and Bremer

The Brazilian centre-back has a release clause in his contract with the Serie A giants, but it is variable between €60m and €70m and is valid from 2025. However, Juventus promised the ex-Torino defender that they’d listen to similar offers this summer, so his exit remains a possibility, especially because Juventus need to balance the books.

Varane’s Manchester United exit means Bremer will become an even bigger target for the Red Devils this summer even if it is unsure whether the 27-year-old will accept a move to a club that won’t play in the Champions League or the Club World Cup in 2024-25.

Bremer has recently signed a new contract in Turin, and his current deal at the Allianz Stadium will run out in June 2028.
