Yildirim: I will hire Mourinho for Fenerbahce

Aziz Yildirim says he's offered the Fenerbahce job to Jose Mourinho.

Yildirim is up for Fener's presidential election and says if he wins then the former Real Madrid, Roma and Chelsea manager will be hired.

He told Fanatik: "Fenerbahce must compete with great coaches and great teams. A fight that should be both at home and abroad. A club like this should be a leader in Turkey and be successful in Europe, at least play a final.

"Let's work on this, last week I met Mourinho for 2 hours and in the end I told him that Fenerbahce needs him as he needs Fenerbahce. He welcomed the proposal, negotiations are underway and if I am elected president Fenerbahce, I will appoint Mourinho as manager because I don't want the children to be sad anymore.

"A major operation is needed, we will recruit players in line with his wishes. He saw the match against Konyaspor and was happy too."
