The World Cup is finally upon us, and this is ESPN’s announcing schedule for the first week of games airing from June 12th through June 19th. All matches will air on the ESPN family of networks live. The one game involving the United States during the first week of competition will air on ESPN on Monday, and will be called on TV by Ian Darke and Taylor Twellman. Darke will be calling games on five of the first eight days of the World Cup, including Thursday’s Brazil-Croatia opener on ESPN. J.P. Dellacamera and Tommy Smyth will be on the radio call of the Ghana-US game, and both will be very busy during the first week – Dellacamera will call nine games in eight games, while Smyth is in the booth for eight games.
