Italy great Dino Zoff insists Mateo Retegui isn't in the class of Lazio veteran Ciro Immobile.

The Tigre striker has scored twice in his first two Italy caps over the past week.

But Zoff told Rai Radio 1: "There aren't many strikers but it's not like one arrives and can undermine Immobile who has scored 50 goals a year for several years. These are the usual exaggerations of our football

"There are few Italian players. I always give examples: it's bad to talk about my times, but in Friuli when I was playing we had 12 players in Serie A and at least a couple in the national team.

"Nowadays, with all the coaches running around, those who are good immediately find a team worthy of their quality. There are fewer Italians who play, this is the problem. It is not a problem of not letting them play in Serie A, it is precisely the problem that there are none or there are few."
