Broadcasters rip Tiger for swearing on camera

Tiger Woods was making a run at the lead of The Open Championship during the third round and he was caught on camera cursing.  It was only a “God damnit,” so not as severe as it could have been, but the announcers didn’t hold back from judging him.  Clearly they thought that he should know better not to swear because there are always microphones on him, but in Tiger’s defense...

Charl Schwartzel blasts 450-yard drive onto green on par 4

During the third round of The Open Championship, Charl Schwartzel was on the 448-yard 15th hole and ripped an absolutely massive drive.  The ball just kept rolling all the way up onto the green because of the rock-hard fairway and lightning fast conditions.  My favorite part was the group on the green pointing at the ball and chuckling at what they had just seen. Unfortunately...

Kentucky Wildcats alternate grey football uniforms released

The Kentucky Wildcats have been putting together an absolutely ridiculous recruiting class in Mark Stoops first year as the Wildcats head coach.  Stoops has now upped the ante and added a third jersey for the wildcats to wear, an all grey one.  The jersey itself looks phenomenal, the blue checkerboard on the shoulders looks great.  The helmet on the other hand looks pretty dreadful...

Robert Garrigus sinks 100-foot putt from the fairway for eagle

During the second round of The Open Championship, Robert Garrigus had what may end up being the best shot of the tournament.  On the 15th hole after hitting a drive near the green, Garrigus pulled out a putter because of the lightning fast conditions and ended up draining the 100-foot putt for eagle.  Unfortunately for Garrigus, this was about the only thing he did well during...

Phil Mickelson three putts from three feet at The Open Championship

Phil Mickelson had played pretty well in the second round until he got to the 16th green.  Phil three putted from about three feet to finish the hole with a double-bogey and finished the round with a 3-over 74.  It’s holes like these that remind us that even the professionals can make terrible putts on the golf course.  Phil now sits at 1-over, 4 shots back from the leader heading...

Memphis Tigers unveil new uniforms with chrome helmet

Plenty of teams have been unveiling their jerseys in preparation for the upcoming football season, and the Memphis Tigers are the latest to do so.  The jerseys themselves are nothing spectacular, but I love the tiger stripes on the pants and the helmets are fantastic.  The chrome helmet with the tiger striping down the center and in the logo is absolutely outstanding.  The blue...

Kent Bazemore had a monstrous dunk in a Summer League game

Not just a great bench-celebrator, the Golden State Warriors’ Kent Bazemore also has mad hops. Bazemore threw down this dunk over the Mavericks’ Jackie Carmichael during the fourth quarter of Thursday’s Summer League game. Here are some of the best celebrations from the 24-year-old from this past season.

Western Kentucky Hilltoppers unveil new uniforms

These new jerseys for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers are actually pretty sweet.  My favorite part is the university seal in the number, they are the only team in the country that has something that unique.  The font of the numbers and writing is a great choice, and so is the decision to go to the chrome helmet full time.  It looks like the Hilltoppers have three different uniform...

Alabama fan wears National Championship ring hat to SEC Media Days

This Alabama Crimson Tide fan, Shannon Villa, showed up to the SEC Media Days fully decked out in Crimson Tide gear and wearing a National Championship ring hat that cost him $300.  Hundreds of Crimson Tide fans showed up to The Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover, Alabama looking for autographs.  Leave it to the guy named Shannon to buy a ridiculously gaudy hat to go with his necklace and...

Nashville Predators paint ice rink yellow for summer

The Nashville Predators made their home jerseys gold a couple of years ago and now it appears they wanted to paint their ice rink gold for the summer.  It won’t be like that for the season, but man does it look weird. Why? Because kids can skate on GOLD ice @ the Open House, because it's SUMMER, because it's awesome & because we can! pic.twitter.com/EHfNrxJ7DG —...

Ridiculous 7-man alley-oop dunk in pool basketball

This must have been a highly entertaining way to spend the day perfecting this 7-man alley-oop.  Too bad for the 8th guy running the camera, he must be pretty unathletic.  How you come up with something like this is beyond me, but this is majorly impressive because of creativity and execution. Amazing game of Horse featuring Brodie Smith

Brodie Smith has made a living being an Ultimate Frisbee player and putting trick shot videos on YouTube.  On Wednesday, he posted a video playing a game of Horse against some other trick shot guys, known as The Legendary Shots.  The game became Frisbee vs. Basketball/Football.  Some of the shots they made were simply incredible, but the most impressive was Brodie using a baseball...

Hoffman ended up winning the ESPY for best moment of the year, as he should have.  Hoffman was lucky enough to meet some of the games stars at the ESPYs, adding on to the great moments for this little boy. The Oregon Ducks All-Yellow Uniforms

Some Oregon Ducks players were prepping for a photo shoot in all-yellow uniforms, presumably a combination that they will wear next year.  No word on what helmet they will wear with it, but I’m hoping they will break out the yellow and chrome one and just go with the total overkill approach. JJ Watt Box Jumps 59.5 Inches

Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt is an extremely powerful man.  At 6’5″ 290 lbs he is athletic enough to box jump 59.5 inches from a standing position.  The sheer explosiveness that it takes to accomplish this feat is absolutely incredible.  Nothing like having him whisper “watch out” at the end of it to scare you even more. Schwartzel breaks his 6-Iron after bad shot

Charl Schwartzel was extremely frustrated at The Open Championship after bogeying 10, 12, 13 and 14.  When he got to 15, he hit a poor shot out of the heather and threw his club at the ground violently out of frustration.  His 6-Iron broke and Schwartzel finished the hole with a double-bogey.  It’s okay Charl, we’ve all been there before. Thomas Bjorn breaks camera at The Open Championship

Thomas Bjorn of Denmark was trying to hit a shot out of the rough when he pulled his shot and it headed straight for one of ESPN’s cameras.  It the camera square on the lens and Mike Tirico said that the camera cost $80,000.  Something tells me they won’t make Bjorn pay to replace it. The Open Championship is live on ESPN, and we've already lost one camera to an unfortunately...
