Offensive Line the source of Falcons struggles
The Week 3 matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers can be summed with just one word: “Wow.”
That is what Buccaneers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy said after the game in the locker room when he read the stats sheet and saw that Tampa Bay held the Falcons to just 30 rushing yards for the game.
It is amazing how quickly a team can fall in the NFL. It...

Throughout his career, Titans running back Chris Johnson has delivered big time numbers across the board like the announcer of an online bingo game – fast and furious.
But unfortunately for him (and the Titans), his success has led him to hold out this off-season, and the ongoing contract dispute between Johnson and Tennessee has been one of the biggest story lines throughout...

Fantasy Impact: Braylon Edwards signs with the 49ers
Braylon Edwards today signed a 1 year $3.5 million dollar contract with the San Fransisco 49ers. A base bottom contract for a wide reciever who only a few short years ago had 16 touchdown receptions. In fact he is even making less than Mike Sims-Walker is with the St. Louis Rams. So what does this mean for him on your draft day?
Edwards is not the same guy he was 4 years ago when...

The Fantasy Nerd: Post-Free Agency Winners
Looking back on the NFL free agency “gong show,” as my boss at RotoWire likes to call it, I have to admit that I’ve never seen anything like it. I felt like I was watching someone’s little brother play franchise-mode on Madden. Of course, as fans, it made us forget that we had just spent four and a half months wondering if we’d even have a season.
In terms of fantasy, this...

Dolphins looking to Davis for O-line upgrade?
One player still on the market that will undoubtedly end up landing somewhere in the very near future is veteran offensive guard Leonard Davis, who was released by the Cowboy last week in a bid to free up cap space for other acquisitions.
While interest has been tepid so far, one team that seems to like Davis and has a definite need at his position is the Dolphins. Having his former...

Asking price lowered for Osi Umenyiora?
Over the weekend, news broke of the Giants decision to allow Pro Bowl defensive end Osi Umenyiora to seek out a possible trade, provided it brings back a high round draft pick in return.
That compensation was initially rumored to be no lower than a first round pick in next year’s draft, but the latest news seems to point towards New York lowering their price somewhat, with...

Frazier puts stamp on Vikings with McKinnie release
One of the things that many rookie head coaches try to do in their first season at the helm is to change the culture established by the previous regime to one they favor instead. And even though Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier is technically a carry over from the last coaching staff, he isn’t any different than other first year head coaches in that regard.
Frazier took baby...

Falcons flying high with Ray Edwards in the fold
One player that has somehow avoided serious discussion this week is defensive end Ray Edwards, who is coming off a solid run in Minnesota, establishing himself as a capable defender against both the run and the pass.
That led many to believe he’d be a hot commodity once free agency got started, but after watching most of the big names get locked up with major contracts, Edwards...
