Tim Twentyman of the DetroitLions.com reports that the team has released six players on Saturday as they work to get down to 75 before next week’s deadline.
According to Twentyman, the Lions cut G Alex Bullard, G A.J. Dalton, DT Greg Hickman, RB Steven Miller, DE Kris Redding and WR Conner Vernon.
Detroit also placed T.J. Jones on the reserve/PUP list, per Twentyman.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Packers NT B.J. Raji is out for the season with a torn bicep injury.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported earlier in the day that despite the optimism last night, there wasn’t “a lot of optimism” regarding the injury and Raji’s season could be “in doubt.”

Giants free agent acquisition G Geoff Schwartz was carted off the field during Friday’s third preseason game after he suffered a dislocated toe.
