One of the more heart warming stories of the week, Tennessee State University freshman M.J. Rhett got a special surprise from his mother who was supposed to be stationed with the National Guard in Iraq but got a chance to come home for Thanksgiving.

COWGIRLS GET THE BLUES
For the first play of the fourth quarter in the Dolphins/Cowboys affair, Cowboys tight end Jason Witten caught a pass from Tony Romo and got the first down while running out of bounds. In the process, Witten ran into a Cowboys cheerleader and chatted her up for a few seconds:
For you Arkansas fans getting geeked up to play LSU, the below video might get you in the mood as two Arkansas fans decided to fight each other.
The fight is pretty pedestrian at best but listen to the guy calling the action, he deserves a color commentary job:

The Green Bay Packers are still the only undefeated team left in the National Football League as they were able to beat the Lions by the score of 28-15.
During the game, Detroit defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was ejected for kicking a Packers offensive lineman in the arm.
Below is the video of the incident:
For 51-year old Paul Deutsch of Minnesota, he got to live his NHL dream last night as an emergency goalie for the Minnesota Wild.
Due to some extreme circumstances, Deutsch was tracked down by the Wild to the sign a minor-league contract and got to warm-up with the team:
After the Wild got word that Niklas Backstrom, slated to be the starter,
would have to miss the game...
For all of our readers, hopefully you are having a very happy Thanksgiving and eating yourself into a football-induced coma.
Sadly for former American Idol contestant Lauren Alaina, she probably wishes that she could eat her own words as she flubbed the National Anthem before the Lions/Packers game:

For those of you who are squeamish, please don't continue with this post unless you want to see someone's broken arm.
It happened during a female Strikeforce match between Ronda Rousey and Julia Budd as Rousey breaks Budd's arm in two:

As life goes on without Regis Philbin, comedian Jerry Seinfeld decided to join "Live with Kelly" for this week as a guest host.
For those who don't know Jerry is a New York Mets fan and recently decided to name his dog, "Jose Reyes".
Below is his appearance on the show...the dog...not Jose Reyes:

Recently, the NFL decided that the rock band Nickelback was going to be performing at halftime of the Thanksgiving day game between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers.
However, one Detroit fan weren't exactly pleased about it and decided to start a petition to prevent them from playing.
This allowed the band to do a little bit of self-deprecating humor with...
It was only a matter of time until Penn State and Joe Paterno's fall from grace was going be animated by the people over at Next Media Animation.
So, sit back and enjoy the rather interesting trip down the Penn State scandal:

During Monday night's Boston Bruins/Montreal Canadiens affair, a couple of fans got into a fight in the stands.
The fight essentially had everything: people kicking each other, a couple haymakers, and the greatest color commentary of all-time:

It's not often that we post Irish rugby videos on this website but I think the below clip is totally worthy of the honor.
It happened during a Munster/Northampton World Cup match when the announcer for the match freaks out over a drop kick goal by Ronan O' Gara.
If anyone can translate after the :40 second mark, you might...
Oh those wacky Canadian Football League fans, they always find a way to make a memorable moment on YouTube.
Below is a video of a Saskatchewan Rough Riders fan who had a little bit too much to drink and hit the deck after a few seconds:
Over the weekend, the NFL's Houston Texans were on a bye week which allowed star running back Arian Foster a chance to visit New York City.
During his travels to NYC, Arian sent off this Tweet:
Below is the pictoral proof of Mr. Foster at "Occupy Wall Street":

Last night, the New England Patriots were able to make quick work of the Kansas City Chiefs and one of the plays that helped salt the game away was this punt return touchdown from Julian Edelman:
Over the weekend, Texas A&M men's basketball team won the consolation game over St. John's at the 2K Sports Classic.
Texas A&M's head coach Billy Kennedy's seven year old
daughter Anna Cate decided to help out her father's squad by screaming
at the top of her lungs during crucial free throw attempts by St John's
Nurideen Lindsey that...
A couple days back we posted a video of Utah Jazz forward Andrei Kirilenko getting a scary head injury while playing for Russia's CSKA Moscow.
Another notable NBA name suffered an injury playing overseas and it happened to Nuggets guard JR Smith. Smith is currently playing in China and suffers the injury when he tried to make a cut to the basket.
The injury happens...
Today is former New York Giants defensive end and FOX NFL analyst Michael Strahan's birthday. The guys at FOX NFL Sunday decided to celebrate Michael's birthday a little early on Sunday with a very "toothy" birthday cake:
As the Detroit Lions pulled out an impressive comeback win against the Carolina Panthers, two Lions players got to celebrate their hearts out.
First, Nate Burleson decided to mock Cam Newton's "Superman" touchdown celebration:
Later on, Tony Scheffler decided to bust out the AT&T Flash Mob Celebration:

For Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith, he might consider trying to tuck his hair in his jersey the next time he plays.
During the Cincinatti/Baltimore affair, Smith was tackled by the Bengals Pac-Man Jones by his hair:
Hopefully this doesn't catch on with other NFL teams but check out the below video of Redskins linebacker coach Lou Spanos calling in a play using what looks like to be a walrus or vampire play-call:

Albeit, this might have been the most excited part of the San Francisco 49ers blowout victory of the Arizona Cardinals.
In the 4th quarter, San Francisco's Dashon Golston got into it with Arizona wide receiver Early Doucet which eventually led to his ejection:
For NFL referee Ron Winter, he unfortunately got caught in the crosshairs of a Baltimore Ravens interception return by rookie Jimmy Smith.
Watch as Winter tries to flee for his life but can't get out of the way in time:
It looks like the Lebron James Powder Toss has become the new thing to do while you celebrate a touchdown.
Detroit's Nate Burleson and USC's Robert Woods have done it and now you can add Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew to the list:

Sadly for this Washington Redskins fan, Redskins receiver Jabar Gaffney was celebrating after a play and inadvertly slaps a fan right in the face:
