The funk is back! Dam Funk and Snoopzilla (aka Snoop Dogg) have released a second single off their new album “7 Days of Funk”. With the same tenacity of 80′s legend George Clinton’s keys, a thumping bass line that carries the track, and silky smooth lyrics from Snoopzilla, “Hit Da Pavement” and its video will take you back to the g-funk era.
I, for one, much prefer Snoopzilla...
Who forgot to remind Nick Young that free throws cant be blocked?

Every hockey season there are usually a handful of occasions when a screaming puck or big hit will break a pane of glass at an NHL arena. One of those instances occurred Tuesday night in Sunrise, Florida during the Panthers-Red Wings game. Unfortunately, Florida – still figuring out this whole “hockey” thing – was very unprepared for such an occasion. The did, however, come...
As a 24-year-old, you are looking for certain things from your music. You want music that will be there as a reminder that maybe we aren’t going to hell in a handbasket, or maybe we are; either way we’re going and we need some music for the ride.
So don’t look at this as a top album list but more as a list of the the albums that rocked my world the most this year.
Not sure how this is going to affect his trade value.

This is a pretty tremendous animated short of comedian Daryl Wright telling a fight story to UFC righter Uriah Faber. The story is pretty wild.

Because whats more fun than rocketing a ball at insanely high speeds towards your goalie? Absolutely nothing, that’s what.

A courtside cameraman working last night’s Blazers-Jazz game fell victim to an errant pass by Utah and wound up taking a basketball straight to the skull. It was pretty funny because, you know, it wasn’t either of us.
Here’s what it looked like from the camera guy’s perspective:

Godzilla is coming, and if this trailer is any indication of the quality of the film, it’s going to be epic. Maybe now we’ll finally have our brains wiped of the abomination that was the 1998 version.

Quebec’s Ligue Nord-Americaine de Hockey (LNAH), a low-level professional league, produced a horrifying injury in a recent game. Thetford Mines Isothermic team captain Sebastien Courcelles took a skate to the face during a game this week and, as you can imagine when something like that happens, the result was not pretty.
There’s a photo of the injury, but let me warn you…it...
When you think of an organization known for giving and random acts of kindness, a Canadian airline company may not be the first to come to mind.
However, WestJet Airlines has pulled off one of the coolest Christmas “miracles” that I’ve ever seen by a corporation.
From the Huffington Post:
In a video released Monday, Calgary-based airline WestJet sets up electronic Santa chat...
It’s always refreshing to hear stories about people finding creative and unique ways to overcome their disabilities and continue doing the things they love, especially when it involves sports.
That’s why this story about an all visually impaired hockey team in Vancouver, Canada is worth a watch. They call themselves the Vancouver Eclipse and each member of the team is either...
During last night’s Clippers-Sixers game, DeAndre Jordan had the “Los Angeles” script on his Clippers road jersey ripped clean off during a battle for a rebound against Tony Wroten. Jordan was left without a team name or a city but just the #6 on the front of his uniform for a few moments.
Fortunately, the prepared Clippers staff apparently travels with extra jerseys in tow...
Corey Perry is on quite the hot streak for the Anaheim Ducks. Captain Duck has managed to score a goal in six straight games, including two on Monday night in a 5-2 win against the Islanders.
Perry’s first goal against the Isle came in spectacular, jaw-dropping fashion after he managed to deke around a defender before getting tripped. After getting tripped up, Perry picked his...
The Wachowski brothers have had a knack for producing futuristic films that, albeit a la Hollywood blockbuster-style, are original and fun. From the Matrix series to V for Vendetta to last year’s Cloud Atlas, they have been continuing to build their legacy as wonderful science-fiction raconteurs. Up next on their plate? Jupiter Ascending. An original screenplay by the Wachowskis...

On December 30th the Oregon Ducks will take on the Texas Longhorns in the Alamo Bowl, but they’ll be without their starting tight end Pharaoh Brown. The 6’6″ sophomore will be standing on the sidelines after being suspended by head coach Mark Helfrich for his participation in an on-campus snowball fight that got a little out of hand.
What began as nothing more than a harmless...
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) junior forward Brock Higgs scored one of the most impressive goals of the year in college hockey this week when he managed to dangle around a couple of Princeton defenders and then slide the puck five-hole on the goaltender. Higgs’ goal was a silky smooth showcase of some impressive mitts and helped power RPI to a 5-2 win.

1. Chicago Blackhawks (21-6-5, 47 Points) Last Week: 1
Weekly Record: 1-2-1
The offense kept humming along, averaging 3.5 goals per game for the week, but a few less than stellar performances by Corey Crawford and the PK led to their two regulation losses. There was a silver lining in those two losses though. In both games they managed to score three unanswered goals to either tie...
It was a great year of music in 2013 and this is the second year in a row that each music contributor to the site will be contributing their favorite albums of the past year. Up first, here is my Top 10.
10. ‘Pure Heroine’ – Lorde
Despite the fact that the song was released in 2012, Lorde burst onto the scene in 2013 with her smash-hit “Royals” – so much so that it...
The Houston Rockets’ mascot — out of costume — nailed this shot before Sunday night’s game against the Orlando Magic. I’m going to guess this wasn’t his first attempt, but it takes a lot of practice to be Clutch.

Kobe Bryant returned to the court for the Lakers on Sunday night as they took on the Toronto Raptors. Nick Young attempted to upstage Kobe’s return with a silky smooth 360 layup in traffic. Unfortunately for Young, who has often been criticized for his decision-making on the court, the layup failed in epic fashion. EPIC fashion.

Dion Phaneuf landed a brutal and highly illegal hit on Kevan Miller late in the third period of Sunday’s Leafs game against the Bruins, but he did manage to flatten somebody with a clean hit earlier in the game.
Unfortunately for Phaneuf, that somebody was Phil Kessel, his own teammate.
Phaneuf and Kessel combined for this hilarious blooper during a second period line change in...
The Boston Bruins have found themselves in the middle of some ugly hits and incidents on the ice over the past few days, and the latest ones comes via Maple Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf. The Leafs defenseman laid this ugly hit on Bruins d-man Kevan Miller later in the third period and, somehow, wasn’t called for a penalty. It was an obvious boarding infraction and Phaneuf may still...
