Detroit Lions Cut Reggie Bush

The Detroit Lions have released RB Reggie Bush.  Bush gained 1303 rushing yards over 2 seasons with the Lions, but just 297 of those yards came this past season.  He only caught 40 passes for 253 yards in 2014, and scored just 2 total touchdowns.  He was a huge disappointment.  He will turn 30 in March.  Many teams will go after him in free agency. Risk and Reward - The Honda Classic

Is it possible that someone like Rory McIlroy could be bad for fantasy golf, the very sport that benefits from the rise of such a superstar? In as volatile a sport as golf, having as near a constant as McIlroy or Tiger Woods in his prime levels the playing field quite a bit between the lay person and the expert because, and this is especially true in non-salary based games, just...

Power Rankings - The Honda Classic

Birdman. As a (sort-of) journalist, I've just done my (un)official Oscars duty, so let us move on. Nothing to see here folks, unless you haven't seen it, in which case there might be something still to see. If you are going to watch Birdman, do it after the rounds end at The Honda Classic, though, otherwise you might miss something pretty significant. Rory McIlroy returns to action...

Sergei Bobrovsky Nearing Return : Henrik Lundqvist Still a Mystery

Hockey teams lean on Goaltenders as much as any position in any sport.  The star goalie for the Columbus Blue Jackets, Sergei Bobrovsky, has missed the last 13 games with a groin injury he suffered January 21st in Winnipeg and won't be in net when his team takes on Buffalo tonight in Columbus. The team has tread water since his absence going 6-7-1 keeping their playoff chances...

Finding Stats - Some Moneyball Fantasy Options

I'm just as guilty as anyone. Draft Day has arrived, you are prepared and you feel excited about your first few picks. Then come the middle rounds and all the elite talent is gone. You're on the clock and at some point in the draft you will freeze and pick a guy based on his name. A safe well known player across the league. Fantasy Basketball Week 18: Low Buget Players With 4 Games

For those looking to make a playoff push here are some cheap options with 4 games this week. Isaiah Canaan fell into the starting job for the 76ers and can knock down 3's if that's a stat you need. In his debut Sunday he logged 29 minutes with 14 points. Look for his minutes and numbers to rise this week as he's still getting his feet wet in Brett Brown's system. Tyler Zeller...

Fooled By The Name Brand Shortstops

Fantasy owners often like to have a name to associate with their picks in a draft or their purchases at an auction. Shortstop easily calls up the following names: Troy Tulowitzki, Jose Reyes and Hanley Ramirez. We all have associations with the names, but Tulo's injury history cost my team valuable points the last three years. He was 11% below an average-producing SS in my 18...
