Sarah Sjostrom of Sweden wins a historic 5th consecutive world title in the 50-meter butterfly for her 27th world championship medal in a time of 24.72 seconds. Zhang Yufei of China was silver in an Asian record of 25.05 seconds. USA's Gretchen Walsh grabbed her first individual medal of the championships in 25.46.
