Saints Nation: Bold 2013 Predictions
I'm going to be discussing several bold predictions I have for the 2013 New Orleans Saints. I was mulling over the idea of doing this article last week, but decided to wait on it so I could try to piece together my thoughts better. Let's jump right in!
1. Rob Ryan will make the Saints' defense AT LEAST a top 15 defense in his first year as defensive...

New Orleans Saints cornerback Dion Turner made a nice catch in the outfield, while holding into the ball after breaking through a metal barricade that served as the outfield wall, during the Ben Grubbs Foundation charity softball game recently held at Zephyr Field in Metairie, Louisiana.
Turner fell backwards did a reverse somersault after colliding with the barricade, but held...

New Orleans Saints Sign Free Agent DL Isaako Aaitui
The New Orleans Saints and free agent defensive lineman Isaako Aaitui have agreed to an undisclosed contract. Due to the circumstances and the fact that he hasn’t done much at all in the NFL, the deal is most likely a one-year agreement. Either way, Aaitui will compete for a backup spot on the Saints roster and with enough hard work, could stick.
The post New Orleans Saints Sign...
Saints Nation: Saints Pick Up DT Isaako Aaitui
The Saints landed another big body in Isaako Aaitui, who is 6'4" and 315lbs, to create depth behind Brodrick Bunkley and John Jenkins at nose tackle. He has signed a 2 year contract with the Saints for what I can only assume is the minimum. Aaitui has never played in a regular season NFL game after signing with the Dolphins as an undrafted rookie free agent out of UNLV....
Saints Sign DT Isaako Aaitui To A Two-Year Contract
The New Orleans Saints announced Thursday that they have agreed to terms with defensive tackle Isaako Aaitui on a two-year contract. The announcement was made by Saints' Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis.
Aaitui (full name pronounced e-saw-AH-co ah-ah-2-e), 6-foot-4, 315 pounds, originally joined the practice squad of the Miami Dolphins midseason in 2011...

Saints Nation: Who Will Be Brees' Backup in 2013?
Every time this discussion comes up, I feel it is accompanied by the caveat that we hope this player will never get to see the field. If he does, the season has no hope. The Saints' chance at success starts and ends with Drew Brees' health. But while any hope at a second Super Bowl hinges on him playing, there's a reason the Saints keep two quarterbacks on the roster...
Drew Brees and his wife have made a habit out of decking themselves out for movie nights
When I noticed this tweet from Drew Brees Monday night, I figured Brees and his wife Brittany were participating in some sort of local event for The Great Gatsby, which premiered over the weekend...
Had a blast at #GreatGatsby recently. And yes, of course we dressed up! This movie will win some awards I imagine. twitter.com/drewbrees/stat…

Muncie, 60, dies of heart attack
Chuck Muncie, three-time All-Pro and Pro Bowl running back for the New Orleans Saints and San Diego Chargers, has died at the age of 60.
According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, the Saints confirmed the news and cited a heart attack as the cause of his death.
Muncie tallied 6,702 rushing yards and 71 touchdowns in nine NFL seasons.
Muncie played college football at Cal and...
Former Saints, Chargers RB Muncie dead at 60
The New Orleans Saints say Chuck Muncie, a Pro Bowl running back with both the Saints and San Diego Chargers, has died at age 60.
Muncie was the Saints first-round pick, third overall, out of California in 1976. He played four-and-a-half seasons in New Orleans before being traded in 1980 to San Diego, where he finished his nine-year NFL career. The team and a spokesman for the family...

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and his wife Brittany were so excited to see the movie "The Great Gatsby" that they got dressed up in 1920s-style outfits. Looks like Drew and his wife should have tried out to be extras for the film.

Drew Brees, wife dress up like it’s the Roaring Twenties to see ‘The Great Gatsby’
New Orleans Saints quarterback and his lovely wife Brittany attended a recent showing of Leonardo DiCaprio-starring, Baz Luhrmann-directed flick based upon the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic, “The Great Gatsby.” And the couple attempted to up the enjoyment and participatory factor by regaling themselves in attire befitting a film about the Roaring Twenties. Brittany looked very...
Photo: Drew Brees, wife dress up to go see The Great Gatsby
On Monday, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees apparently took his wife to see The Great Gatsby at a nearby theatre. Brees uploaded this picture (seen above) on Twitter to serve as proof. But the fact that an NFL player took his wife to the movies isn't newsworthy in and of itself. What is newsworthy, however, is the fact that the two dressed to the part to go see it...
Drew Brees And His Wife Get Dolled Up For “The Great Gatsby”
Drew Brees and his lovely wife, Brittany Brees, went all out this week when the two of them went on a date night to see “The Great Gatsby.” The couple donned 1020′s themed outfits for the movie and then Drew took to Twitter to let the world see their outfits. You have to love the fact that Drew and his wife did this not at a Hollywood movie premiere, but just a normal theater...
Saints Nation: RIP Chuck Muncie
It's very sad that I've followed the Saints long enough that a lot of my long time heroes are starting to pass away. Craig "Ironhead" Heyward, Sam Mills, Frank Warren, Dave Waymer and Norman Hand are just a few that have left us way too young. Today former Saint running back Chuck Muncie died at the age of 60 from a heart attack. May he rest in peace, and God bless...
Pierre Thomas Says The Saints’ RBs Will Have Defined Roles
The Saints are an offensive juggernaunt and have the skill players to run or at pass and be tremendously effective doing so. With Chris Ivory in NY, the backfield is a little less crowded and will give more opprtunites to Ingram and Thomas. Sproles seems like his role was carved out and Mark Ingram has flashed his potential form time to time. Thomas is a very smooth runner...
New Orleans Saints Sign LB Baraka Atkins
The New Orleans Saints have signed LB Baraka Atkins after trying out during the rookie minicamp. Atkins was a fourth round pick of the Seahawks back in 2007 and hasn’t played in a game since 2008. Baraka last saw camp time with the Steelers during the 2011 offseason. He is a long-shot to make the final roster.

Saints Nation: Saints' Roster Set at 90
The Saints' roster is now set at 90 after they officially announced moves this morning. Signed are DE Baraka Atkins (4th round pick of Seahawks in 2007), WR Brent Leonard (undrafted rookie from UL-Monroe), CB Korey Lindsey (7th round pick of Bengals in 2011), K Jose Maltos (undrafted rookie from Mexico), RB Khiry Robinson (undrafted rookie from West Texas A&M) and G Jeremiah...
Saints Waive Former Steelers Practice Squad OL Ryan Lee On Monday
The New Orleans Saints made several roster moves on Monday and it included them waiving offensive lineman Ryan Lee, who the Pittsburgh Steelers originally signed as an undrafted free agent last April.
Although Lee only played late in preseason games last year, he showed enough promise that the Steelers signed him to their practice squad to start the season. He remained on the practice...
Saints Nation: Saints Emerge from Rookie Mini Camp
The Saints wrapped up the rookie mini camp over the weekend, and presumably signed tryout players based on the weekend to round out their roster to the allowed 90. The roster was at 87 prior to that camp. Two players signed are known and both are local(ish) products. WR Brent Leonard of UL-Monroe, pictured, and CB Korey Lindsey of Southern Illinois, who is from Baton Rouge, are your...
