2023 Hungarian Grand Prix Budapest Open WTA Draw With Pera, Zhang, Maria & more
Susan Mullane-USA TODAY Sports

The 2023 Hungarian Grand Prix, also called the Budapest Open , will be played from July 17th to 23rd and the draw has been released.

As one of the first two WTA 250 tournaments after Wimbledon, running simultaneously with the Palermo Ladies Open , the 2023 Budapest Open will welcome a competitive field, led by the defending champion Bernarda Pera .

The American is the top seed in the Hungarian capital, and in the first round of the competition, she will play against Diana Shnaider from Russia, who can prove to be a very challenging opponent. If the first seed succeeds, she may encounter another challenging opponent in Daria Saville or Tereza Martincova.

For the home fans, an all-Hungarian first-round match between Timea Babos and Anna Bondar will be surely a great invitation to the tournament, but also watch one of the home wild cards Amarissa Toth play against the second-seeded Shuai Zhang should be a good watch for the home fans.

The last year's Wimbledon semifinalist, Tatjana Maria should also play at the event as the fifth seed, starting against Carole Monnet in the first round. The fourth-seeded Yulia Putintseva is one of the former champions and she will start against one of the qualifiers in Budapest.
