Chinese sensation Qinwen Zheng has now become a brand ambassador for luxury perfume and cosmetic brand Lancôme. The news came just hours after World No. 1 Iga Swiatek became the first athlete to sign a deal with the brand.

Apart from Swiatek , Zheng joined celebrities like Julia Roberts and Zendaya as brand ambassadors. The Pole became the first from her country to join the luxury brand.

Lancôme, the cosmetic brand, is a part of L’Oréal Luxury Products and was established in 1935. The partnership with Zheng is a step toward the brand’s vision of inclusivity.

Like many other brands, Lancôme is also trying to connect with Gen Z, celebrating independent women and the values they share. The brand claimed it celebrates diversity in a beauty industry that favors and advertises products for white women.

Quinwen Zheng was confused after experiencing different cultures

Qinwen Zheng recently appeared for an interview with the WTA Insider Podcast to explain how she is trying to be humble after a quick success.

Zheng hogged attention last year when she started winning WTA titles and reached the US Open quarterfinal before appearing in her first Grand Slam final at the Australian Open.

Though the 21-year-old is ambitious and became the only second Chinese after Li Na to become a part of the top 10, Zheng observed that too much confidence is not good for her. She feels confident when her game improves and plays better on the court.

As a Chinese player, she experienced a new culture when she left her country to play around the world. She found out how different Chinese culture is from Western culture, and though it confused her, she tried to blend it all.

In Chinese people, our emotions are more inside, and we show it with our actions. Europeans and Americans are so open-minded. They have great words for you, but actually, sometimes they are not thinking like that. You do a little thing good, and they say, 'That's amazing,' but you're just doing a little thing right. But Chinese people, if you do a lot of good things, they will say, 'Keep going, keep working hard, you will get there.' Qinwen Zheng said on WTA Insider Podcast

Zheng faced Sorana Cirstea in the Round of 32 of the ongoing Stuttgart Open. Before this, her Miami Open campaign came to an end after Victoria Azarenka beat her in straight sets in the Round of 32.
