(November 30, 2012) John Isner and coach of three years Craig Boynton have severed ties. No. 14 Isner will work with former Monica Seles coach Mike Sell. Isner reached a career high No. 9 in the world in April this year “I had a great run with Craig, learned a lot and felt like I improved every year,” Isner said in an e-mail to the New York Times. “I just felt like it was time for a different voice. CB and I will remain great friends and he will always be someone I can go to for help or advice.” Sell who, like Isner played college tennis at the University of Georgia has also worked with other players over the years including Mardy Fish, and Donald Young.
