PLAYERS: Marcos Baghdatis

Via Guyism:

Marcos Baghdatis was rather upset after dropping two sets to Stanislas Wawrinka in his second round match at the Australian Open. So he did what any sane player would do in that situation–he busted four rackets. Two of which had never been used and were still in bags. In this downtrodden economy, that’s an incredible waste of money, eh Marcos?

The outwardly display of anger may have helped Baghdatis as he went on to win the third set before finally dropping the match, 7-6 6-4 5-7, 6-1. In somewhat related and disheartening news, the loss means we won’t be seeing much of his new girlfriend, the recently retired Karolina Sprem.
