Nike Tennis presents the looks that Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Juan Martín del Potro, Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, Victoria Azarenka and Li Na will wear on the clay courts of Paris later this month. The collection features Dri-FIT fabric and flatlock seams to provide comfort throughout a demanding tournament. RAFAEL NADAL Last year’s winner Rafael Nadal will seek victory once again in the Nike Premier Rafa Crew. Designed for maximum comfort, the crew features flatlock seams to minimize potential irritation caused by friction; Dri-FIT mesh panels at the underarm and back for unparalleled ventilation; and perspiration-wicking Dri-FIT jersey fabric with UVA and UVB protection. Featuring a flattering, curved hem, the simple, no-darts Nike Premier Rafa Crew is a perfect fit for the King of Clay. ROGER FEDERER Federer will wear the Nike Premier RF Crew: a Dri-FIT jacquard fabric top that uses cutting-edge technology inspired by a true tennis legend. The bonded design of the Crew incorporates sonic-welded side seams for a comfortable fit. Federer will also wear the Nike Premier RF Knit Jacket, designed to provide both water-resistant protection from the elements and enhanced ventilation in high-heat areas. The ribbed stand-up collar and ‘RF’ monogram screen-print on the left arm are stylish details befitting a tennis great. JUAN MARTÍN DEL POTRO Juan Martín del Potro will don the Nike Advantage UV Stripe Crew, which offers UVA and UVB protection during long sets under the sun. The bold striped design reflects del Potro’s confident style of play, while the Dri-FIT jersey fabric ensures the player stays dry and comfortable, The non-restrictive crew neck and raglan sleeves enable uninhibited motion for a player with a powerful serve. SERENA WILLIAMS Williams will take to the court in a sleek Nike Wrap Knit Dress. Formfitting but never restrictive, the dress features flat-seam construction with an elastic waist and straps for maximum comfort. The Dri-FIT jersey fabric allows the body to stay cool and dry, while an Inner Definition bra offers subtle shaping and support. Cut with a flattering V-neck and front-slit skirt, the Nike Wrap Knit Dress is a strong look for a powerful player. MARIA SHARAPOVA 2012 Women’s Singles champion Maria Sharapova will display her characteristic on-court style in the Nike Premier Maria Dress. Crafted in Dri-FIT jersey with flattering 'princess' seams, the dress combines a fluid silhouette with unbeatable performance. An Inner Definition bra provides discrete coverage, while four-way stretch straps offer comfort, support and a pop of distinctive color. The Premier Maria Dress is a blend of style and performance. VICTORIA AZARENKA Victoria Azarenka will pair the Nike DF Vaportouch Tank with the Novelty Knit Skirt for maximum comfort and style. Combining a Dri-FIT jersey body with tricot mesh inner straps, the heather-look racerback Tank facilitates a wide range of motion. Designed with a “Love Tennis” elastic waistband, the skirt offers a supremely flattering fit. Built-in jersey shorts provide the support and coverage required by a fast-paced, high-energy player like Vika. LI NA Former champion Li Na will be competition-ready in a Nike Dri-FIT Tech Polo. Featuring empire and princess seams, the Polo is contoured to provide a flattering, feminine fit for a history-making player. Subtle tech features — an invisible zippered placket, laser perforations for increased ventilation, and motion-friendly raglan sleeves — offer an updated take on a classic sports silhouette. FOOTWEAR Nadal, Federer, del Potro, Sharapova and Azarenka will compete in three key Nike Tennis styles crafted to deliver unbeatable performance. Worn with great success on the clay courts in 2012, they have been updated for this year’s tournament in a range of new colorways. The Nike Zoom Vapor 9 Tour offers the lightweight support and comfort of a running shoe with the durable footframe needed for making quick turns on the court. The shoe molds to the foot’s shape for a glove-like fit, enhanced by a supportive synthetic leather upper. The Nike Air Max Courtballistec 4.3 is engineered to endure long sets of tough tennis. Lunarlon and Max Air technology offer lightweight cushioning, impact protection and comfort, while the durable, cage-pattern upper enhances flexibility and support. The Nike Air Max Cage features Max Air units for impact protection and comfort. The Drag-On Cage technology features a unique, data-informed pattern created specifically for tennis. It’s a balanced mix of flexibility, support and durability in one lightweight package. {gallery}2013frenchopen{/gallery} Follow us on Twitter @mobettershoes.
