NEW YORK, NY – In addition to champion tennis player, endorser, desinger, Maria Sharapova can now call herself “candy entrepreneur.” The Russian currently ranked No. 3 in the world launched her new candy line called “Sugarpova” on Fifth Avenue at Henri Bendel on Monday morning.
She has 12 different types of treats ranging from gummies to tennis ball gumballs. Her favorite is the candy called “quirky.” It’s a licorice filled with marshmallow inside with rainbow colors on the outside.
She said that she oversaw the development and production of the products as she wanted a “premium” line.
