World Team Tennis is a little-known league with little fan interest outside the diehard tennis world. The league’s Eastern Conference Championship occurred on Thursday night between the Philadelphia Freedoms and Washington Kastles. Following a friendly fire injury to Freedoms player Liezel Huber after Taylor Townsend drilled her in the back of the head, Huber was unable to continue the doubles match. The Freedoms now forfeit, right? Wrong. Townsend apparently gets disciplined for her shot to Huber’s dome and is forced to play a 2-on-1 match. Watch as she helplessly allows the Kastles to serve to the opposite side, where she is not allowed to return:   Townsend attempts to bounce around for some distraction but that does nothing except make her look even more helpless:       The Kastles quickly realized they were wasting energy with rocket serves and simply tapped the ball over the net in hilarious fashion:     When Townsend was given the opportunity to serve, she actually recorded a few points, to the happiness of the bored-out-of-their-minds paying crowd:     [SB Nation and Vine] Article found on: Next Impulse Sports
