CM Punk backstage at Impact Spring Slugfest tapings

CM Punk is backstage at Impact’s Spring Slugfest tapings in Chicago on Saturday night.

Punk took pictures with the likes of Jordynne Grace and Ricky Morton backstage. Fightful had first confirmed that Punk was backstage at Saturday’s television tapings.

“We're told Punk was welcomed there and brought through by security, even by numerous fans,” Fightful reported.

Earlier this week, Punk visited backstage at WWE Raw, which also took place in Chicago. He was eventually asked to leave by security. Punk also was in the crowd at Battle in the Valley earlier this year in San Jose when Mercedes Mone made her NJPW debut.

Punk’s backstage appearances come as AEW is reportedly debuting a new two-hour Saturday show in June with Punk set to be the main star of the program. The first show may take place at the United Center in Chicago. He hasn’t been seen in AEW since the fight that took place after All Out last September between himself and members of The Elite.
