Eric Young will challenge Moose for the TNA World Title tonight at TNA Sacrifice.

TNA Wrestling‘s Eric Young was a guest this morning on Busted Open Radio. When asked about his title shot tonight against Moose on TNA Sacrifice in a place he was born and raised, Young expressed how big a moment like this is for him.

“It’s really cool, right? It’s something that I don’t think a lot of people get to experience because it’s such a transient kind of job and transient kind of occupation,” Eric Young said. “So you don’t always get to share something like this with people that supported you when you started, your friends and your family.

“People that I’ve known for over 40 years in the crowd tonight, and it’s special. You get to work for a world title in any place on Earth; it’s special. But tonight it’s a big one for me, a really, really big one.”

When asked if being in his hometown tonight creates any additional pressure on him, Young said he’s addicted to the pressure, and it’s the only thing that makes him feel alive.

“Obviously, I’m looking forward to it,” Eric Young said. “This is a crazy thing and I’m really bad with this stuff. But people that follow it and remember better than I do, me and Moose have actually never touched ever. We’ve never been in a match opposing. I think we did a tag once, and we’re in kind of like crisscross paths in a gauntlet match. But this will be the first time ever stepping in the ring one-on-one together.

“And obviously, I mean what I said last night when it’s all said and done, he could be one of the best to ever do it. And that’s not something that I would say about anybody. He’s gifted, and a savant when it comes to this stuff, and I’m excited to have my opportunity to win the World Title for the third time.

“The pressure is what I live for. I’m addicted to it, and it’s the only thing that matters to me at this point in my career and my life is I want to be leaned on, and I want that pressure because it makes me feel alive. It’s what I crave, and it’s never highest when you’re in the main event on your home soil, in front of your friends and your family, trying to do something for the third time, and it’s special. It’s very, very special.”
