Jey Uso On Defeating Ilja Dragunov: Welcome To ‘MonJey’ Night RAW, We’ll Cross Paths Again

Last night on Monday Night Raw, the Quarter-Finals for the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments. The main event of the night was Main Event Jey Uso versus Ilja Dragunov. After a hard fought battle, Mr. Main Event Jey Uso hit a Spear and his signature Uso Splash to get the pinfall victory. Now, Uso will wrestle Gunther next week on Raw in the Semi-Finals.

Following his win last night, Jey Uso was interviewed by Jackie Redmond backstage. During the Digital Exclusive interview, Mr. Main Event mentioned that he is ready and is indeed fit to be a King.

“I mean, Jackie’O Yeet! What kind of question is that? Hell yeah, I’m fit [to be a king]… Oh, my ear bleeding I think he knocked my ear lobe out Uce. But eh man, shoutout to that newcomer Ilja, Ilja? Dragon… The Dragon. I see you Uce. Blowing heat tonight. But I had to cool you off dawg. I’m sorry. Welcome to ‘MonJey’ Night Raw right here Uce. Hey you did good though. We going to cross paths again Uce. Yeet.”

Jey Uso is sure he will defeat Gunther this time around as Jimmy Uso is not around

During the same interview, Uso mentioned that if it was not for his big brother, he would have defeated The Ring General for the Intercontinental Championship.

“Hey to be honest Jackie’O, I had him beat. I had Gunther beat for the IC Champ… Intercontinental Championship and Jim got involved. Big Jim. So Big Brother Jim. Jealous Jim is what I call him. But hey, guess what Uce, Jealous Jim if you want to roll up again, I mean you’ve been out for a little bit. Please come back, you going to get this work too Uce. Keep your nose out of my business Uce. But back to the Ring General Gunther. Hey bro, it is me and you in the Semi-Finals right here. Next week, I don’t know what city we at, but Main Event Jey Uso going to be in there if you know what I’m talking about. Yeet.”

Jey Uso on the Fireflies coming out during his entrance

For the past couple of weeks, the WWE Universe has been celebrating Jey Uso during his entrance by turning on the flashlights on their cell phones in the same fashion they welcomed Bray Wyatt during his enterance. Mr. Main Event mentioned that he is happy the fans are treating him just like Bray Wyatt.

“Man! Great question. It’s hard for me to explain my feelings right? But man… You kind of are man [getting me in my feelings]. Cuz, when the fireflies come out man, I think about him, we all think about him, the whole world thinks about him. WWE Universe thinks about Bray Wyatt. So, I’m just happy it just organically happened with me man. I ain’t never asked for them, it just showed up. And I know it’s my dawg up there looking down on us man. So man, I love you! Bray Wyatt, the whole Universe man, I love all you all for showing love man. The Fireflies are always gonna be out there yeeting with your boy. You know what I’m saying. But there’s going to be a bunch left. Let’s get it,” Jey Uso said.
