Maki Itoh vs. Minoru Suzuki Announced For TJPW Grand Princess On 3/31

If you had a match between Minoru Suzuki and Maki Itoh on your 2024 wrestling bingo card, you won the year…congratulations!

It was announced this week by Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling on social media that Maki Itoh will face New Japan Pro-Wrestling legend Minoru Suzuki at Grand Princess on March 31.

While this match seems incredibly random, leave it to Maki Itoh to explain how it came to fruition.

The Cutest in the World posted a video on social media (which you can see in the embedded tweet below) where she went to Suzuki’s store to ask him to be her tag team partner at the event. Suzuki turned the tables on Itoh and proposed that they should face each other instead.

After some reluctance, Itoh accepted the challenge and declared that she would end Suzuki’s career at Ryogoku Sumo Hall.
