More Into Why Kelly Kelly Wants A WWE Return
WWE

We had heard about this desire earlier this year, and now we can get more into why Kelly Kelly wants a WWE return.

We covered the story earlier this year. Kelly Kelly, one of the most notable WWE Divas of all time, was pushing for a WWE return. Maybe pushing isn’t the right word for it, but she was speaking up about wanting another bit of time in the company. And to be honest, she was not stumping for an appearance in the annual women’s Royal Rumble. She’s been in those. No, this time around, she was discussing a desire to want to work for the company again, even if it is a short-term special engagement.

When you think about it, why wouldn’t she? She has seen others come back and work programs in some form or fashion. Some good examples are of largely retired Superstars of her era or close by. Names like Lita and Trish Stratus come to mind. Here’s where a comeback isn’t as crazy as it sounds. Trish Stratus and Lita are both 48.

Kelly Kelly is only 37. If we are purely focused on age, there would be no reason to dismiss a comeback here. Also, while the real life Barbie Blank is a relatively new mom, there are a few of those as good examples in WWE. Stratus came back after a baby, but more recent examples include Becky Lynch, as well as the expected returns of Alexa Bliss and Carmella.

Point being, nothing she has to overcome is all that impossible. So maybe she gets a chance. And now we know why she wants one. She has said that she wants to work in a WWE ring in the coming years so that her twins can see their mom go to work. What inspired that feeling was seeing Michelle McCool’s daughter light up when her mom got into the ring. It’s something very special that not many people get to do, so I don’t blame her. In fact, I hope she gets her chance and succeeds.
