Go Shiozaki is the new GHC Heavyweight Champion.

The 40-year-old won the belt for a record fifth time on Saturday at Pro Wrestling NOAH's Majestic 2022. He defeated Kaito Kiyomiya to win the vacant title.

Former champion Kazuyuki Fujita was originally scheduled to defend the championship against Shiozaki on the show. After testing positive for COVID-19, however, Fujita vacated the title and was replaced by Kiyomiya.

Following Shiozaki's victory, Satoshi Kojima came out to challenge the new champion. A match between the two has now been officially scheduled for CyberFight Festival on June 12. The event will take place from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. Rob Van Dam has been announced for the show as well.

NOAH also announced on Saturday that The Sugiura Army (Takashi Sugiura and Hideki Suzuki) will defend the GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Championships against Rene Dupree and El Hijo Del Dr. Wagner Jr. on May 4 from Korakuen Hall.
