DGUSA/Evolve Press Release: Low Ki’s Challenge Accepted For Charlotte & Concord

The controversy surrounding Low Ki has been increasing. He started at EVOLVE 10 by saying he was going to “take his profession back” and it blew up at EVOLVE 11 when he had some pointed words towards El Generico after their match.

It continued this past week when Ki sent out a challenge on Twitter @OneWorldWarrior throwing out a challenge for one of the boys to “step up” and wrestle him in North Carolina. Jigsaw, coming off a big win at EVOLVE 10, tweeted @JigsawCHIKARA that he has “been known to “step up” when the time calls for it.”

We can confirm now that it will be Low Ki vs. the popular Jigsaw on May 11th in Charlotte, NC. Go towww.DGUSA.tv for building and ticket info. You can pre-order the live iPPV of this event now atwww.WWNLive.com with three different pricing options.

In a surprise, Jon Davis called the EVOLVE office this week and demanded a match vs. Ki. It has been officially signed. It will be Low Ki vs. Jon Davis on May 12th in Concord, NC. Ticket and building info is atwww.DGUSA.tv. This event will also be on live iPPV atwww.WWNLive.com and you can pre-order it now with three different pricing options.

This makes the EVOLVE doubleshot in North Carolina the toughest weekend of Jon Davis’ life. It will be Davis vs. Fit Finlay in Charlotte and Davis vs. Ki in Concord. It really doesn’t get any bigger than that.

“It’s do or die time,” Davis said. “I beat all three members of D.U.F. and won that feud. I went toe-to-tie with Akira Tozawa. Now is the time for me to reach the next level of my career. Having good matches isn’t enough anymore. Showing potential doesn’t mean anything. I have to defeat the greatest and I will in North Carolina.”

The Heel Report – Week 3 (2012-2013 Season)

Unfortunately I’m running very late this week, I blame the PhD, studying wrestling is fun, but it can be time consuming. But all essays and presentations are out of the way now so everything should be back on schedule next week. Unfortunately it means that we are over a week removed from Lockdown so some of these scores are going to look rather strange right now, you’ve got to...

Where are they now? Original Nexus

I am a huge wrestling fan and an hourly reader of WrestleChat.net. I wanted to add my two cents to a specific part of wrestling. The Nexus. I found from day one that I would be interested in how many of the original Nexus would survive. Daniel Bryan, Michael Tarver, Skip Sheffield and Darren Young all disappeared within weeks of each other due to real or fake injuries or in Daniel...

How Much Did ECW Talents Get Paid At Hardcore Justice?

– Shane Douglas recently appeared on MLW.com’s podcast and claimed that ECW wrestlers not on the TNA roster received $250 to appear on the Hardcore Justice pay-per-view in 2010. “After Dixie Carter did her show and paid the guys a ridiculous sum of money, $250, to go out there and do what we do better than most people do, that to me was just so disrespectful.” He also claimed...
