Jerry Lawler returned to WWE’s “Monday Night Raw” with a guest appearance this week, almost exactly two months after suffering a heart attack during a broadcast back on Sept. 10. Considering he was reportedly pronounced clinically dead before being revived and was later feared to have brain damage, it is remarkable that “The King” was able to make such a quick recovery and get right back into the mix on Monday night.
After giving an emotional speech and thanking the fans for their support, Lawler was thrown right back into action when he was interrupted by fan foe C.M. Punk. Punk proceeded to ridicule “The King” for coming back from the dead and getting so much attention, but it was clearly all part of the script. WWE fans are surely happy to have an icon back in any capacity.
