- During a recent interview with ChicagoTown.com Daniel Bryan said CM Punk would be a dream Wrestlemania opponent:

“I would think it would be really cool and how both are careers have gone, it would be CM Punk. I think that would be a major important match and be awesome to go out there in front of 70,000 people and show them what we can do. Both of us wrestled in front of 35 people so having that kind of crowd in front of us would be amazing.”

He also discussed how his MMA training helps him in the wrestling ring:

“I feel that it’s very important because pro wrestling needs to evolve. What people bought in the 80’s and 90’s don’t necessarily buy it today. There’s a big difference the way I throw a kick and the rest of the roster throws one. I don’t think the fans can necessarily identify the difference, but they can tell the difference. I think my training has really helped me in that aspect of mixing in the real legit kicks. My wrestling style has always been tight and my MMA training has helped me incorporate that in the ring.”

Bryan also recently revealed during an interview with the Baltimore Sun that he had talks with TNA following his brief release from WWE in 2010:

“WWE apologized and said they had sponsors they had to deal with and whatnot. And I said don’t worry about me, I’m probably going to make more money this year than I did the last year when I was on NXT. I had people from Japan calling me, I had TNA people talking to me, not directly, but through other people. It was just a fascinating time for me in my career.”

- Bret Hart is running second to be added to Canada’s Walk of Fame, with actor/comedian Phil Hartman in front.

“For the people of Canada to have spoken up for me like this, it’s such a huge sign of respect and appreciation, that I can’t tell you how much it means to me,” Hart said in a press release. “The fact that no wrestler has ever been given that honour, I personally feel it’s a little overdue.”
