Ted Dibiase Jr. announced today on YouTube that his contract with the WWE is up and he has decided not to re-sign.
DiBiase said the decision was “bittersweet” but this was best for him and his family right now.
“I have had just some amazing life experiences with the WWE. I’ve done some amazing things. I’ve traveled the world, wrestling at WrestleMania. I’ve made a movie. It’s really been a dream”.
DiBiase stated that he had other things he wanted to pursue including being a dad. He also left the door open for a return down the road.
“I’m not saying this is forever,” said an emotional DiBiase. ”Hopefully there will be some good times in the future. We’ll see. But until then, I’m going fishing.”
DiBiase – a third generation wrestling – signed a developmental deal with the WWE back in 2007. There were many in the company who thought he was a ‘can’t miss’ prospect with high aspirations for him. In May 2008, he made his WWE debut and quickly teamed with Co
