WWE toyed around with the idea of a possible heel turn for Chris Jericho, but those plans have been scrapped for now, due to the multiple potential turns taking place now with Alberto Del Rio, CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler. Plus, Jericho is still expected to miss a lot of time in the upcoming months to focus on his music.

While he played the heel role in Chicago against CM Punk (which the company expected), the company feels that he is one of the most consistent and top faces they have. Chris Jericho reportedly tweaked his knee last week, possibly in the SmackDown match that was taped against Curtis Axel.
Jericho worked over the weekend and at Payback last night but there is fear of a torn meniscus.
