There are talks that Sin Cara could be making his much delayed return to WWE next week. The masked star noted on Twitter that he was finally cleared by the medical department to make his come back. The belief is that the statement was done to cover up the fact that his return had been postponed due to the writers not having anything for him because Rey Mysterio is still out.

Despite not being utilized on television, WWE still requires lower level performers to show up at the arena, in case some changes are needed at the last minute. It's quite telling that they have decided to allow Sin Cara to remain at home for the time being. The company does not appear to have any imminnent plans for him, and the fact that he's not even on the road further emphasizes that.

It appears that WWE has lost a lot of faith in Sin Cara. He came into the company with a lot of hype and potential, but the masked star simply has not connected with the audience like management had hope. His merchandise moves decently, but he's certainly not a big draw. His partnership with Rey Mysterio did not springboard his popularity as expected.
