Jake Paul and Logan Paul have exchanged a few punches before.
The fighting brothers tossed some towards each other recently in the way of verbal comments. And it all centers around the upcoming Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing match.
To catch you up to speed. Jake Paul signed to meet Tyson in a Netflix-streamed event later this year from AT&T Stadium outside of Dallas. The bout could be one of the biggest concerning the names involved and the streaming giant.
During his Impaulsive podcast, Logan Paul claims to have turned down the fight with Tyson. Logan Paul is currently competing in the WWE where he is the U.S. champion.
“I said no to fighting Mike,” Logan said (thanks to MMA Fighting for the quotes). “I was offered it but not on Netflix and not for a big a-- bag. It was just like, this could be a real fight.
“I’ve been asked, ‘Do you think you could beat Mike Tyson?’ My answer was and will be yes. I just think he’s too old. That’s crazy. He’s senile.”
As you might expect, brother did not take too kindly to the words.
Jake Paul Fires Back At Brother Logan Paul
“On his own Betr podcast, Jake Paul responded to comments made by his brother concerning the Tyson match.
“That situation is always tough for me,” Jake said. “I hate that my brother and I’s relationship sometimes has to be aired out. It seems as if the court of public opinion is the only thing that steers him in the right direction.
“But it is weird to lie, to blatantly just lie.”
Jake Paul noted that he, Nakisa Bidarian and Most Valuable Promotions put the deal with Netflix together.
“We were the ones that brought the Netflix deal to Tyson,” Jake said. “Tyson was never in the market offering people to fight for anyone to turn down. It is weird to go online and lie.”
Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson takes place Saturday, July 20 from the home of the NFL Dallas Cowboys. No other bouts are set.
