Something that isn’t talked about enough is when sports leagues work with players to develop them after their playing careers. This can come in many forms, but the CFL leads the way in getting their guys the training needed. The league released information on Tuesday about the seven players who will be joining their mentorship program for the 2024 season, which is designed to help players prepare for league office roles by teaching them the business side of football. This is in association with the CFLPA Academy, which helps current and former athletes assist in career and personal development outside of football.
