Hall of Fame coach Jim Boeheim is finalizing agreements to serve as an analyst for ESPN and Westwood One radio during the upcoming college basketball season, Syracuse.com reported Wednesday.

The outlet said Boeheim confirmed his plans during a phone call from Germany, where he is visiting family.

The 2023-24 season will be the first since 1976 without Boeheim on the sidelines as head coach of Syracuse. He announced his retirement in March after the Orange were eliminated from the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament.

Boeheim was 1,116-440 at Syracuse over those 47 seasons. He led the Orange to a national title (2003), five Final Fours and 35 NCAA Tournament appearances.

He was named the Naismith Coach of the Year following the 2009-10 season when Syracuse finished 30-5.

Boeheim, who turns 79 next month, was enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2005.
