Gonzaga forward Kaden Perry, whose time in Spokane has been riddled with injuries, announced his retirement from basketball on Wednesday in an Instagram post.
The Gonzaga frontcourt is going to be stacked. Kaden Perry was seen dunking in a recent Gonzaga Basketball tweet which is a fantastic sign. The 6’9” sophomore only played 8 games last season with the Zags as he was still dealing with back issues that prematurely ended his senior season at Battle Ground High School in Washington.
Turnover is a constant in college athletics. This year the Gonzaga Bulldogs have to replace three starters. On a good college basketball team, it’s no surprise that the top players will try to make a name for themselves at the next level.
Here’s hoping for a quick recovery Just a little taste, a little nibble. That’s all we got of Kaden Perry this past season; 53 minutes spread out over eight games.
A back injury in the spring cast doubt on the freshman’s status going into his first season at Gonzaga, but the bouncy big man is back in action and ready to go to work.
