Kassidy Woods has sued Washington State and football coach Nick Rolovich, alleging his civil rights were violated when he was kicked off the team after complaining about potential exposure to COVID-19 and for joining the Black Student Association.
Washington State head coach Nick Rolovich issued a statement on Monday in response to an illegal recording of a phone conversation he had with Kassidy Woods made headlines on Sunday.
Woods called Rolovich to inform him that'd he'd be opting out of the 2020 season because he has a sickle cell trait that puts him at higher risk for COVID-19 infection.
