Chris Pratt texted Dave Bautista begging for a wrestling match while on sleeping pills

Chris Pratt is one of the more chronically high-energy actors in Hollywood, but he learned his lesson when it comes to using Ambien or any sleep aids.

"There was a moment in my life where I would take sleep aids to help me sleep," the 42-year-old Guardians of the Galaxy star said during his visit to The Late Late Show with James Corden  on Thursday (July 1). "I don't anymore because of things like this."

And Pratt's story warranted that setup:

"I would text people, and I had blackout. No idea what I'm texting people on, like, an Ambien. I took Ambien, the next day [Dave Bautista] comes. He goes, 'Hey, man, that text you sent last night...' I go, 'What text?' And he goes, 'You don't remember? [Maniacal laughter].' He walks out, and I was like, 'What did I text him?!'

"I look at my phone, and it's a text like this long. It was like, 'Dave, I wanna wrestle. I wanna wrestle you. No one needs to know, but I just wanna know. I think I could take you. I think I could wrestle you, bro. Like, collegiate rules. No elbows, no knees. I wanna feel the power!' Mortified, like, oh my god. Dave would kill me so fast. He is, by far, the toughest dude in all of Hollywood."

Pratt and Bautista have co-starred in the Guardians franchise since the first film arrived in 2014 as Peter Quill/Star-Lord and Drax respectively. Pratt confirmed that the third installment will begin filming later this year in this new Variety profile.

The Parks and Rec alum is currently making the rounds in support of The Tomorrow War, his new superhero-less sci-fi action movie that hit Amazon Prime Video today (July 2), which he explained thoroughly to Corden while solving a Rubik's cube. Watch the trailer below.
