Crank The Sound Up! Incredible Portola Music Festival 2025 Announces Real Star Studded Line-Up

This year will mark the fourth run of the Portola Music Festival in San Francisco, and the schedule looks insane. With the likes of Christina Aguilera, The Prodigy (cue the manic hand flailing), and the Chemical Brothers filling up those precious time slots, the crowd is sure to be pumped, and the music is sure to be absolutely slammin’ at this next legendary event.

Running over two days from 20th September 2025 to 21st September 2025 at Pier 80, the Portola Music Festival promises over fifty acts, the likes of which include Moby, Rico Nasty, Blood Orange, and Ravyn Lenae, to name a few. Tickets go on sale 15th May 2025 at 12pm PT, and we can already tell that those dance music die-hards will have index fingers poised about their mice ready to refresh web pages and grab those golden tickets before they’re sold out.

Dance, Dance and Revolute!

The Portola Music Festival, presented by Goldenvoice, who is also responsible for the awesomeness of Coachella, began in 2022 at Pier 80 in San Francisco and primarily featured electronic dance music. This trend has persisted to this year’s event, which is promising to be even bigger and better than ever.

Doors will open on both days at 1 pm, which gives you plenty of time in the morning to get ready (ha ha) and will run in both indoor and outdoor spaces across Pier 80. No need to worry about the event being rained off, though. Portola Music Festival intends to continue no matter what the weather, so don’t forget to pack that all-important Festival poncho alongside the glow sticks and the unconventional bathroom aid.

Despacio, a new and upcoming sound created by the iconic frontman of LCD Soundsystem, James Murphy, and utilising the talents of the Belgian electronic band, Soulwax, is a good example. It is exciting to ruminate on what these two heavyweights of synthetic sound will produce together to make an impact as a new band at an event featuring such god-like sets.
