Keanu Reeves has landed a new role, and it’s within the world of Formula 1. The Hollywood superstar is now a close friend of Cadillac’s new F1 team, which will join the grid in 2026.
Reeves is lending his name and he’s also helping to tell the team’s story via a docuseries and developing a true friendship with the leadership of the team.
Dan Towriss, CEO of TWG Motorsports and the Cadillac F1 Team, spoke about Reeves during the Italian Grand Prix this weekend.
Asked if he was an ambassador for the team, Towriss didn’t hesitate. “Yeah, absolutely,” he said. “Keanu is a terrific human, right? He loves F1. He loves motorcycles as well. Loves to talk about really the technical side of Formula 1 to get into all the things that are happening with the team. And so his support has been amazing” (Motorsports.com).

That friendship has already turned into a big project. Reeves is producing and hosting a new docuseries that will follow Cadillac’s journey into F1. Announced in July, the series will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to build a team from the ground up.
For Cadillac this is a chance to tell their story at the right time. F1 is booming in the US and as the first new American team in years they have a lot to prove. The docuseries will capture that pressure and ambition and Reeves will bring the kind of storytelling that makes the human side of racing shine through.
Reeves himself has spoken with real passion about the project. “I’m very honoured and excited to be a part of telling the remarkable Cadillac Formula 1 Team story and its incredible journey into the world of Formula 1 racing.”
This makes sense. Keanu Reeves is a motorsport fan (he co-founded ARCH Motorcycle) and Cadillac is taking on one of the biggest challenges in racing. Together they’re telling a story that the world will want to watch.
