Tom Holland is putting the fans first when it comes to Destin Daniel Cretton's Spider-Man: Brand New Day, his fourth solo film as the beloved superhero.
"I have been actively sifting through the internet and trying to best understand what it is that the fans want from a Spider-Man movie, and that's been my driving force in these pitch meetings," he told LADbible. "I think the producers, at times were like, absolutely sick of me, but I think it's really important, because we make these movies for [the fans]."
The actor was even involved in creating Spider-Man's new suit! "What's been really fun about this most recent movie is designing the suit and being a part of that process and understanding what we wanted to try and achieve," he shared, noting how he focused on "the story behind the suit."
However, when it comes to his future as the character, he commented, "I think with anything, it's all about what's in front of you, and right now what's in front of us is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and focusing on making that movie worthy of the last film."
He continued to express, "In terms of my future in the character beyond this film, I don't know the answer to that."
Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are back as MJ and Ned, but it's unclear what their roles in Peter Parker's story will be after No Way Home. Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, and Michael Mando are returning to the franchise as Frank Castle/The Punisher, Bruce Banner/The Hulk, and Scorpion, respectively.
Meanwhile, this will serve as both Liza Colón-Zayas and Sadie Sink's entrance into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters on July 31, 2026.
