Lady Gaga's Patrizia Reggiani meets the family in new 'House of Gucci' trailer

Lady Gaga is primed to dominate yet another awards season.

The 35-year-old multi-hyphenate plays Patrizia Reggiani in "House of Gucci" and leads MGM's second trailer for the film, released Thursday, by saying, "I don't consider myself a particularly ethical person, but I'm fair." That is an understatement. In this role, Gaga is exceptional.

In the trailer, Reggiani is meeting the opulent Gucci family for the first time with her husband, Maurizio Gucci (Adam Driver), the grandson of Gucci founder Guccio Gucci.

"Gucci: it was a name that sounded so sweet, so seductive," Reggiani says. "They had it all. Wealth, style, power. Who wouldn't kill for that?"

"Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" by Eurythmics kicks in to soundtrack Reggiani getting more and more embedded within the Gucci; her wedding to Maurizio, advising him how he can help revitalize the company and reminding him that Gucci isn't just his last name anymore. ("Our name, sweetie!")

Patrizia doesn't take too kindly to Aldo Gucci (Al Pacino) telling her that "Gucci is what I say it is" and advising her to remember "this is not a woman's game."

We then get a glimpse of the rage that would eventually bring Patrizia to orchestrate a murder-for-hire plot that killed Maurizio in 1995, for which she was tried and convicted for in 1998. (She served 16 years for the crime.)

Directed by Ridley Scott and adapted from Sara Gay Forden's 2000 book by the same name that recounted these true events, "House of Gucci" also stars Salma Hayek, Jack Huston, Jared Leto and Jeremy Irons.

Patrizia Gucci, the second cousin of Maurizio, previously denounced the unauthorized biographical drama.

"We are truly disappointed," she told The Associated Press in April. "I speak on behalf of the family. They are stealing the identity of a family to make a profit, to increase the income of the Hollywood system. ... Our family has an identity, privacy. We can talk about everything. but there is a borderline that cannot be crossed."

"House of Gucci" will arrive only in theaters Nov. 24. Watch the first trailer from late July below.
