New Orleans Police Reveal 'Taylor Swift' Strategy for Super Bowl

The city of New Orleans had a very memorable encounter with Taylor Swift in November. The "Eras Tour" made a stop in the city for three shows at Lucas Oil Stadium between Nov. 1 and Nov. 3, and it's safe to say at this point that the New Orleans leg was a massive success.

The way that the three shows went on without a hitch is a testament not only to the "Eras Tour's" production team. Local authorities also deserve a ton of credit for ensuring the security and safety of concert-goers and citizens throughout the city during Swift's visit.

As it turns out, New Orleans is looking to use their success as a blueprint for the upcoming 2025 Super Bowl at Caesars Superdome, located in the heart of the city's central business district.

According to New Orleans Police Department Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick, the NOPD plans on refining and expanding the public safety plan for Swift's concerts for the upcoming Super Bowl on Feb. 9.

"We're using the foundation of the strategy that we used at Taylor Swift," Kirkpatrick told the press on Dec. 17, via nola.com. "But we have a whole lot more partners and a whole lot more logistics associated."

The NOPD were well-prepared for the "Eras Tour" but they are expecting an even bigger event once the Super Bowl comes to town in February -- and they are making sure that the police will be well prepared and well equipped for the same.

According to nola.com, the FBI, the ATF and Homeland Security have all joined forces with local authorities for the upcoming sporting event. Hundreds of officials have reportedly been "training together in New Orleans for the better part of the year."

The NFL regular season is wrapping up soon, and the playoffs are already on the horizon. At this point, DraftKings Sportsbook has given the two-time defending champions Kansas City Chiefs (+400) the best odds to win it all.

The Chiefs are tied with the 13-2 Detroit Lions with the same odds, while the 12-3 Buffalo Bills (+500) round out the Top 3.
