Phoebe Waller-Bridge boards forthcoming John Krasinski film, which also stars Ryan Reynolds

The stars will be out in November 2023.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Phoebe Waller-Bridge will be part of the ensemble cast for a Paramount fantasy-comedy from John Krasinski.

"Krasinski is writing and directing the high-profile title in addition to starring opposite Ryan Reynolds, as previously announced," THR's Pamela McClintock reported. "The pic is set to open Nov. 17, 2023, the beginning of the lucrative Thanksgiving corridor, and will begin shooting in summer 2022. Plot details are being kept under tight wraps, but the story is based on an original idea of Krasinski’s about a child’s journey to rediscover their imagination."

Waller-Bridge became a global breakout star after creating and starring in Fleabag, a British comedy series that aired two seasons (2016, '19), and developing Killing Eve for television. (She served as an executive producer and writer on Killing Eve, which stars Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh.) The 36-year-old Emmy winner was most recently credited as a screenwriter for No Time to Die, the newest James Bond film.

Fiona Shaw, who has played Carolyn Martens in Killing Eve since its 2018 pilot episode, is also joining the untitled Krasinski project. The 63-year-old actress earned two Primetime Emmy nominations for her work as Carolyn, as well as one for her guest role in Fleabag. Shaw had previously starred as Aunt Petunia Dursley in the Harry Potter film franchise.
