These actors are reportedly on Amazon's James Bond wishlist

The James Bond train is moving, baby. Amazon got control of the creative reins and now it is cooking. We know the director for the first Amazon-led Bond movie, and that's Denis Villenueve. Now, they need a Bond, and apparently the Amazon folks have a few names in mind. We like to imagine Jeff Bezos writing these names in a notebook and doodling hearts around them. So, if Amazon has its way, who might be the next Bond?

The top of the list, the dreams of dreams, are reportedly Tom Holland, Jacob Elordi, and Harris Dickinson. Those names make it clear that Amazon, however it shakes out, is going to be going young. Thus, you can forget about the Henry Cavills and Idris Elbas of the world. Elba was never going to happen. The dude is in his fifties.

In terms of these names, Holland would be a terrible decision. Not to say actors can't contain multitudes, but he works so well as Spider-Man because he can nail the Peter Parker vibe. The dude has no James Bond in him. Plus, he will carry too much of "Hey, it's Spider-Man" into Bond if he got the role. Maybe Amazon was just thinking "Super famous and young British guy," but the fact they'd consider Holland for Bond is a bit concerning.

Elordi and especially Dickinson would work better. Elordi, as an Australian, would be the first Aussie Bond since George Lazenby. He's gotten acclaim from his roles in 'Saltburn', 'The Kissing Booth', and HBO's 'Euphoria'.

Dickinson is a talented, acclaimed actor but is not a star per se at this point. He just had a well-received movie he wrote and directed at Cannes, which gives him a dimension actors in the blockbuster space don't always have. He is also over six feet tall and would make for an imposing Bond. Amazon could push him over the edge into stardom by making him Bond...if Dickinson is down for it, of course.

Now, the expectation is that the next Bond movie won't come out until 2028 at the earliest, because the movie still needs to be written and then shot and edited and stuff. Clearly, though, Amazon is getting revved up and we think the next Bond will be unveiled sooner rather than later.
