Taylor Swift added to star-laden cast of David O. Russell's next film

Taylor Swift continues to put all of our efforts at productivity to shame.

The 11-time Grammy winner has been added to the cast for David O. Russell's next movie, according to Deadline's Anthony D'Alessandro:

"Taylor Swift joins a huge cast which includes (as Deadline’s Amanda N’Duka first reported) Robert De Niro, Mike Myers, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Shannon, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts and Alessandro Nivola. The movie, which has already reportedly wrapped production, will be released in the future via 20th Century Studios. Story and title of the David O. Russell directed movie is being kept secret.

"Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Rami Malek and Zoe Saldana also star. New Regency’s Arnon Milchan is producing alongside Matthew Budman and Anthony Katagas."

Swift has only recently come up for air following a record-breaking stretch from August 2019 to December 2020 in which she released three No. 1 albums: Lover, Folklore and Evermore. Folklore was named album of the year at March's 63rd Grammy Awards.

As an actress, the 31-year-old appeared in one 2009 episode of CSI before landing film roles in Valentine's Day (2010), The Lorax (2012), The Giver (2014) and Cats (2019). Swift also had a brief guest appearance during New Girl's second season finale in 2013.

Russell, meanwhile, is a five-time Oscar nominee.
