'The Bear' Season 5? No Scripts Yet, But the Showrunner Has an Idea

The new season of The Bear is upon us. All 10 episodes of The Bear season 4 are now streaming on Hulu. But what's next? Is this really the end of The Bear?

Apparently, there could be a Season 5 of The Bear, but at this point, there are no scripts written at all. "Although no scripts exist for a potential Season 5, series creator Christopher Storer has a clear direction in mind should the show move forward," according to an insider report from Variety.

What this means is that as of this writing, no actual green light is in place from FX to ensure The Bear Season 5 will happen, and a "clear direction" is not the same as actually having put words down on paper.

Variety also points out that the cast of The Bear is busier than ever. Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach are all much bigger stars than they were just a few short years ago, meaning, working around each of their schedules could prove tricky for a hypothetical Bear Season 5.

Previously, FX chairman John Landgraf has said, "These decisions are really creative decisions," implying that if Storer and the cast want to make The Bear Season 5 happen, FX and Hulu are ready to head back to the kitchen.
