The love triangle is heating up in ‘Emily in Paris’ second season trailer

Happy holidays.

Netflix revealed the official trailer for the second season of "Emily in Paris," due to hit the streamer Dec. 22:

In it, Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) is in a state of confusion after "the most incredible night of sex" with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), to whom she was supposed to be saying goodbye because he decided to move home. But Gabriel is staying in Paris, and Camille (Camille Razat) is suspicious. Emily is filled with guilt.

As the trailer unfolds, Emily tries to navigate the mess she's made while identifying who she is and what she truly wants.

Created by Darren Star, "Emily in Paris" debuted on Netflix in October 2020 to mixed reviews, including criticism about how French culture is portrayed, which both Collins and Star have addressed in recent interviews.

Most recently, Star cleared up a semi-controversy over the pronunciation of the show.

"For those who like to pronounce it that way, I'm all for it," the "Sex and the City" mastermind told Entertainment Weekly. "But for me, it's Emily in Paris."

In the same interview, Star noted that Season 2 will "spend a lot more time with our French characters, and when they're not with Emily, they're speaking French."
