Abel Tesfaye began solidifying his legacy as The Weeknd with the release of his "House of Balloons" mixtape March 21, 2011. The nine-track project was the first of an acclaimed mixtape trilogy ("Thursday" and "Echoes of Silence") that culminated in the remastered 2012 Trilogy album, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
To celebrate, The Weeknd uploaded "House of Balloons" in its "original incarnation" to all streaming platforms. The 31-year-old Toronto native also announced a limited drop of merchandise in collaboration with high-end artist and sculptor Daniel Arsham:
All items are only for sale until Tuesday afternoon.
The Weeknd has plenty else to celebrate in the present, despite getting criminally snubbed at this year's Grammys and subsequently boycotting the awards indefinitely. The three-time Grammy winner overtook the world with his No. 1 album After Hours and singles "Blinding Lights" and "Heartless."
.@theweeknd's "Blinding Lights" has now spent 52 total weeks in the top 10 of the #Hot100.

It's the first song in history to spend a full year in the top 10.
The album's unprecedented run culminated in the Super Bowl LV Halftime Show in February. The Weeknd's performance included "House of Balloons/Glass Table Girls" and his 2016 third studio album Starboy's title track before ending with "Blinding Lights."
